Economics of Malaria
Tr-Ac-Net and Liberia Coordinating Group
A slide presentation prepared for the LIHEDE conference in Greensboro, NC in
July 2005. The presentation shows the huge economic impact of malaria - a huge
drag on economic progress. Totally justifies a big commitment to reducing incidence
of malaria. Questions why it is possible for "rich" countries to eliminate
malaria, while "poor" countries are constrained by potential toxicity questions
and the use of insecticides. Huge double standard!
